Extended Practice — Spatial awareness and gaze: a solo exploration

By Deborah Black

This audio file offers a preparation for the body and tools to guide you into observing and experiencing space with the whole body, in order to deepen the experience of the space you are in through your body and your gaze. You will learn how to get through boredom, use your gaze to take in more information, and bring a sense of curiosity and play into your research.

Deborah Black also wrote a blog and another Extended Practice for the Somatics Toolkit:

Blog: Autonomous Bodies

Extended Practice: Spatial awareness and gaze: working with others as participant and observer.
